PCB File Formats and Specs

There has been renewed interest by the IPC to try and revive the IPC -2581 PCB file format since Mentor acquired Valor and now own the ODB++ format.

The ODB++ file format is a great format but Valor use to be a lot more open with the spec than Mentor has been with it. They say they have put it up as part of their Open Door alliance program but we’ll see how it works out.
